Carpet can absorb water real fast and real deep. Water can ruin most if not all types of floors. It's usually real easy to tell if we need to remove a carpet from a home after it has been damaged by water. Things are different when it comes to wooden floors. We can't see inside the wooden panels laid along the floor. For that we need moisture readers that are specifically used for wooden floors. We have to use them to have an accurate solution to the problem. They are easy to use and very helpful to have at hand. We use the moisture readers to determine how many days of drying we will need to achieve our goal. We always try to dry floors in under three days.
