What is Asbestos?

There's a new service we are offering! We are now producing asbestos abatement. For those of you who are not sure what asbestos abatement means, this video is for you! We tell you in detail what asbestos is, and why it needs to be abated. You'll learn why asbestos is in your home in the first place, and why it was used. You'll also see a great example of material containing asbestos. Abatement is sometimes part of the mitigation or fire clean up process. We cannot disturb any materials containing asbestos. That is why abatement is needed. We always test materials before starting any new construction. Asbestos has cancer causing agents and it's so important to follow the proper steps. This is why it's better to call SERVPRO than to try and do anything yourself.
